No souls will be saved by convincing them that they can survive salvation.
No souls will be saved if God is merely a means to another end. 
No souls will be saved by letting one think they can remain committed to their idols and Christ.

For a new creation must be born from death. 

“We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.”

Salvation is a life-saving surgery, thus your cancer can not be permitted to maintain it’s residence in your heart and mind.

If I intend to preach the Gospel I must inform people of the truth: if you accept salvation, the life as you know it will be wrecked entirely. you will have to set aside all your desires and assumed-rights and dreams.

I must tell you: to follow Jesus, you will need to lighten that pack you currently carry to the essentials. take nothing with you into this new Kingdom, for the Master will give you new provisions, ammunition, and strategy - and you must have room for these new items - be sure, they will be heavy, but the Master promises to give you new strength for the load.

I do not preach the Gospel because I believe it is good or happy or beneficial or easy or comforting, I am under compulsion to preach the Gospel because it is True.

If the Cross is like a dead man coming to life, if the Cross is like a slave being set free, if the Cross is like a convict being declared ‘not guilty’ then the Cross should be disturbing, shocking, and offensive. Christ’s death and resurrection is a scandal, and when Truth is declared with absolute clarity, no human heart can take a stance of apathy.

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.”
